Amber and Mason went home today! They are going to have hospice care, and now we are setting our sights on him living for maybe a week. A week! Can you imagine? We never thought he would even make it to 40 weeks, or survive labor, or live more than a few minutes. They will be giving Mason medications to keep him comfortable and to prevent siezures.

God has been SO good! I know that Mason will be here until he fulfills God's purpose for his life. I am just so happy for Amber and Brian to have this time with him. It's odd, though, we are having to shift gears from sitting around waiting for him to die to helping him live the life that he has, knowing that he will still die too soon.

It's been a long rough 2 days, and I am going out on a date with my husband tonight, which will help me gain a renewed perspective. (no new photos tonight, sorry!)

I thank you ALL for your prayers and support and thank you for sharing in this miracle of Mason's life!

  1. I am so thankful your family is having more time with Mason....sweet, sweet baby. What an amazing gift..thank you for sharing him with us. An amazing journey...stay in the moment the next several days. There will be amazing gifts along the way if you can stay present. I am thankful Amber has you to gently hold her as she so tenderly holds sweet Mason.

  2. Karina,
I found your blog after you enterd a contest on mine. I am sitting here with tears of joy and pain welling up in my eyes as I ache for your family over Mason. What a precious baby boy he is.. so precious! I can't imagine... I just can't. So, I'll pray. Pray that God give each of you exactly what you need exactly when you need it. He is a faithful God and is constant. Please know you are all in His perfect hands.

Many prayers being lifted up for you in Washington
